On October 1, 2002, Ito America Corporation introduced a new Anisotropic Conductive Film (ACF) remover compound for the flat panel display and flip chip communities.

"ACF-X" is a non-hazardous solvent designed specifically for the removal of anisotropic conductive film from glass, ceramic, polyimide, and glass epoxy substrates.

"ACF-X" allows the complete cleaning and re-use of the substrates, and can also allow the reclamation and reuse of some semiconductor die. Although formulated specifically for anisotropic conductive films, "ACF-X" should work on most thermoset epoxies.
